Today is the 5th of August and the official start of the summer vacation for many Italians. All businesses, except in the tourism industry, take a break and will be back in September.
The weather here is incredibly hot, over 35 degrees every day. Even warmer weather is expected in the coming weeks. July, and especially August are absolute hell in Tuscany. September and October are much better.
The scorching sun makes Italy completely useless for supercar driving right now. Both you and your Ferrari would melt. Hence, we take a break from events during this time.
The season restarts with our Dolomiti tour at the end of August. After that, we have the now classic Gran Turismo Europa which starts at Badrutt's Palace in St Moritz.
Gran Turismo Italia is two weeks later, and finally our annual Tuscan tour in October.
All driving events this year are fully booked.
Our special event in Cairo and the Pyramids is in November. We will do exclusive visits to both Egyptian museums, and later a private tour of the Pyramids and the Sphinx. We will enter one of the Pyramids with flashlights. Indiana Jones.
During the summer your Gran Turismo team has stayed indoors and prepared the next season. We booked hotels and selected routes for 2025.
Many of the top hotels require booking and payments well in advance, minimum a year before to make a group reservation. The competition for rooms at the best hotels is insane.
The 2025 schedule is now finalised. We will have eight driving tours and one special event next year. Invitations will be sent later this summer or in the early autumn.
One of the driving events is completely new, and we are excited to share it with you soon. It starts in Rome in late April.
Villa d'Este at Como Lake is back in the schedule in 2025! This is one of the top five hotels on the planet. We are visiting this fantastic property two times next year, one time on Gran Turismo Europa in September 2025, the other is in April.
We also test new roads and locations. Björn was sent to Sicily two weeks ago, to scout for a new event for 2026.
Zdravko and Nicolas are making videos from the earlier events this year. We will have lots of great stuff to share with you in the autumn.
Justyna and Michal are busy preparing the rest of the season.
Marcin Jellinek is preparing our exclusive event in Cairo.
Pietro and Sarah are making sure all rental supercars are in perfect condition for the coming tours.
There is a lot of changes in our supercar rental fleet for next year. The majority of our Ferrari F8 Spiders are going to be retired during the winter. They will all be replaced by Ferrari 296 GTSs.
We will have less Lamborghini EVO Spyders, from five this year to just two in 2025. The Huracan successor will probably not be available in our rental fleet until the 2026 season.
Not one, but two Ferrari Purosangue will be available for the next season. We also have a Lamborghini Revuelto incoming, but I am not sure when it will arrive.
With this we want to wish you a great summer!
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
