Welcome to a private tour of the most important collection of Renaissance art in the world, the famous Uffizi Museum in Florence.
While it is privatised, there will be no other visitors. We will be completely alone to enjoy original art from Michelangelo, da Vinci, Botticelli and many other greats. Take your time. It just us and the biggest Renaissance collection of the world for the next hours. No stress. Enjoy!
There will be guides to help you around, or provide more information on any of the displayed art pieces as we go along. We will dim the lights a bit, creating a truly magical experience.
The Uffizi Gallery is home to the most important collection of renaissance works in the world. One of, if not the most important piece is l'Annunciazione by Leonardo da Vinci among many other painting masterpieces made between the 14th and 18th century.
The Gallery also contains an extensive collection of ancient statues and busts from the Medici family, which line the corridors and consists of ancient Roman and Greek sculptures.
Originally built and owned by the Medici family to contain their private collection shown exclusively for family friends and business associates. It became a museum in 1865.
The Medici dynasty were the most powerful noble family in Florence. They financed the construction of Saint Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, as well as the iconic Duomo Cathedral in Florence which today is a symbol of the city.
They were also patrons of Donatello, Brunelleschi, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Machiavelli, Galileo among many others. As a result, they came into possession of many of the most important works of these great artists and creators.
For this special event we have selected the five-star hotel Villa Cora, our favourite hotel in Florence. Check-in opens in the afternoon of the 23rd of October.
Welcome mingle and aperitivo at 17 in the incredible mirror hall. One hour later, we take shuttles to the Uffizi Museum located by Ponte Vecchio in the city centre overlooking the Arno river.
After the private museum tour we will go to Cecchini a Citta resturant. Run by Italian celebrity TV chef Dario Cecchini, he will prepare a seven course meat dinner for us.
