Last week, we had the great pleasure to welcome a group of supercar owners for our annual tour in Italy. It was time for our annual road trip in the country. We started in Venice, before driving south to Maranello, and then the beautiful Passo dell'Abetone to Pistoia. Then, we head to Livorno and the ferry to Sardinia.
As a driving event organiser since two decades, you'd expect to already have driven the best roads in the world. It is a part of the job. However, nothing could prepare us for this. Grimsel, Furka and Susten pass, Route Napoleon and the mighty Magistral in Croatia - you can all sit down. There is a new emperor of the world, and that is the insanely beautiful road of SS 125 (Orientale Sarda) between Dorgali and Lotzorai.
This is the best driving road in the world. Period. You can be 100 percent sure we will be going back here every single summer from now on.
Anything else? Of course. Both Hotel Su Gologone and Cala di Volpe are great. Few places in the world are as pretty as Costa Smeralda in the north east corner of the corner. We hope to visit the island again already next summer.
