A surprise company outing to an airbase caused a 64-year-old French man so much stress that he flung himself from a fighter jet in midair, grabbing the ejector cord in panic and tumbling through the skies.
He was found later at the border of Germany. The ejection sequence had been violent - his helmet and oxygen mask was blown off and nowhere to be found. The elderly man was found without any injury, albeit confused and quite shaken up. He is now resting in a nearby hospital.
We thought you would! Everyone wants to experience the absolute brutal violence of an ejection seat in a fighter jet.
We want to inform that this is absolutely possible. During our event in Riga - Gran Turismo Baltica - we are cooperating with the Baltic Bees aerobatic team. As every year, we are doing formation flights over Riga with you as passengers. The date is the 23 of July.
Pull the cord and eject yourself from an L39 Albatros? No problem. Just let us know before. Also, please note that ejection comes at an additional cost of 350 000 euros, as the plane most probably never can be used again.
If you want, we can even do it as a group ejection in tight formation. Imagine you and your friends in perfect synchronisation, the violent explosions blasting you through the canopies of your aeroplanes, tumbling through the air before the parachute opens and you descend and land in Riga old town.
All recorded in 4K with GoPro cameras, so you can share your experience on social media.
