A beautiful road from Florence to Siena through the Chianti district.
Strada del Vino, or SR222 takes you from Florence to the heart of Chianti, and then to Siena. On the way you pass by places such as Greve in Chianti and Panzano (where the Solociccia restaurant is located).
It's pretty easy to find the way. If you are in Florence, set your navigator to Greve in Chianti. Then you will most likely end up on Route 222 South. After passing Greve in Chianti, continue on Route 222 all the way to Siena. This will take at least a couple of hours and is one of the best driving experiences in Tuscany overall.
The most fun part comes roughly between the town of Panzano, and Castellina in Chianti. There is no shortage of fun turns, and even a hairpin here and there. However, take care through the few villages which you will come across. The locals like seeing supercars, especially Italian ones, however they love you when you are respectful driving through their streets.
It's not so much about high speed or challenging curves. Rather, it is about the absolutely incredible environment you will pass through. A perfect Sunday trip in a supercar.
A perfect companion on your next road trip to the most beautiful country in the world.
