A beautiful coastal road at the northwestern corner of Sardinia
This is an amazing road at the northwestern corner of Sardinia. Connecting the towns of Bosa in the south with Alghero in the north it is the best driving experience in the area. On one side of the road you have cliffs and on the other, the beautiful, translucent green, Mediterranean water.
The driving is on the aggressive side. Many turns, sometimes surprisingly sharp. Stay focused, or you can get yourself in trouble. Especially in the midsection, you will use both the gas pedal and brakes a lot, clinging on to the steering wheel for dear life.
This road is a great rollercoaster ride, from start to end. One word of caution. During the late afternoon, with the sun low over the horizon to the west, the sharp rays bouncing off the sea can temporarily blind you. This is especially annoying if you drive in a southward direction.
A perfect companion on your next road trip to the most beautiful country in the world.
