A serpentine road up the hill from Maratea to Cristo Redentore
In Maratea there is a Jesus statue, similar to the famous in Rio de Janeiro. The statue stands on a moun- tain peak nearby. The road to get there is about seven kilometres long, but oh so cool.
Sometimes you have to work hard with the steering wheel and endless hairpin bends. When you reach the top you can visit the statue, with an incredible view of Maratea and the Mediterranean below.
