The incredible car collection of Umberto Panini
Now a little secret. Panini Collection. The Panini family invented the football card system in the 1980s. The famous system with an album where you put small stickers with pictures of football players. This was a great success. Much bigger than the Panini family could ima- gine. In just a few years, they went from being a small print shop to being a serious business turning over billions of euros.
By the end of the 1980s, Maserati is in crisis. The patriarch of the Panini family buys the entire Maserati museum and moves the cars home to his farm, which is located just southwest of Modena. It doesn't end there. He sets out on a wild chase all over the world for historically important cars to purchase and move to his collection.
At the same time, he is rebuilding a barn in the yard of a museum. All of the cars are there. The museum admission is completely free. Open almost every day. There are both cars and motorcycles. The collection is priceless. At the farm they also make cheese. Buy some cheese before you leave and the Panini family will be happy.
