M2.3 - Budva to Podgorica

One of the very best driving roads in Europe

This is one of the best roads in the Balkans, and in the top ten in Europe. It goes from Budva on the coast, up the hill and over the mountain to Podgorica. While the road has been around for many decades, it was resurfaced to perfection in 2018, turning it from a good to a truly amazing driving experience.

Many parts of the road have three lanes, so there is always ample opportunity to pass slower traffic. The scenery is majestic, almost at the level of a Swiss alpine road. The curves are plenty, in both directions. So is the occasional tunnel, where the sound of your high-performance engine will bounce off the walls. The road is fast and insanely fun.
