Hotel Splendid

An excellent hotel at Lago Maggiore. Four-star but feels like five.

Welcome to Hotel Splendid. It is located near Baveno, right on the lakeshore. Hotel Splendid has been run by the Zacchera family for several generations. The hotel, like so many others nearby, was built in the late 19th century.

The hotel is not too big and is cosy like few other hotels we have been to. As soon as you enter the lobby, you will instantly feel at home. Both body and soul go into a relaxed state completely free of stress. It's fantastic.

If you want to swim and enjoy the sun there is both a swimming pool and a private beach. The hotel also has a very popular restaurant. Dinner (or breakfast for that matter) on the hotel's terrace is a very good idea.

The hotel is four-star, but feels like five. There is also an excellent garage for your sports car – which is super easy to access even with the lowest Lamborghini or Ferrari supercar.
