One of the best wineries in Montepulciano

No, the name of the winery has nothing to do with Police. Instead, Poliziano, is an old word for a Montepulciano area native.

The winery is located just 10 minutes out of the old town of Montepulciano, in the very heart of the region.

This winery, started in 1961 by a Poliziano, Federico Carletti, is not the oldest in the region, however it is one of the prominent wineries here today. They have developed their Nobile wine in the late 70's, and have since dedicated themselves into raising their production to the highest level of quality. Their Asinone Nobile is a remarkable example of a great Montepulciano.

Nowadays, they are certified organic winemakers since 2021, with a modern, "minimal intervention" approach to tending to their vines.
