In just about a week it is time for our flagship event - Gran Turismo Polonia. Held every year at the end of June it has been a classic entry on the summer event schedule since 2005.
Here is all you need to know about this years edition of the most important supercar event in Poland.
The number of cars allowed to join is 120. The number has been lowered from 144 in order to restore order on the track. It was too hysterical. There is also limited space in the hotel and the hotel parking lot. From this year, the limit is 120 cars. Hence, the event was fully booked to fast.
The level of cars attending is high. The most popular brand is Ferrari. In total, 38 Ferrari cars are attending. The most popular one is still the Ferrari 458 with eight cars coming. Second most popular is the 488 GTB/Spider.
Porsche is also a very strong brand on this event. Most popular is, of course, the Porsche GT3 with about 20 cars coming. Porsche 991 GT3 with 10 cars. The second one is the Porsche 991 GT3 RS with seven cars attending. Porsche 991 GT2 RS is also quite popular with four cars attending.
Lamborghini is stronger than ever. Five Aventador cars are attending, and no less than five Huracan Performante. Apart from that, it is a mixed bag of Huracans and Huracan Spyders. In total 13 cars are coming.
McLaren is also becoming popular. Eight cars are joining this year, the most popular being the 675 LT, with three cars attending, together with two 720 S and two MP4-12C.
The group is, as always, staying in Andersia Hotel in the middle of the city of Poznan. The hotel is privatised for the event. The hotel premises, including the garage, is not accessible by the general public during the event. The hotel is only accessible by the drivers, staff, VIP and accredited members of the press. http://www.granturismoevents.com/gran-turismo-polonia-2018/press/
The drivers are arriving on Wednesday afternoon, on the 27th of June. The majority of the drivers will arrive by own car after 15:00, and keep arriving in small groups up until 19:30. The drivers dinner and briefing is at 20:00 in the hotel.
Driving on the track will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Thursday and Friday, access to the track is for drivers, staff, VIP and accredited members of the press only.

On Saturday (from 11:00 to 16:00) we open the gates to the track and welcome all fans of supercars and motorsport to enjoy the day with the drivers and all the beautiful cars.
On Saturday night the event ends with a party in Andersia Hotel. Please note that party is only for drivers, staff, VIP and just 250 specially invited friends of the drivers from Poznan.
